Projects we approve internally are financed by the founder. There is no fund to raise, no capital call and no third party to convince.

We say yes rarely. When we do, the project gets real development time, a proper crew and a finish we are willing to put our name on.

I started QR to give distinctive work the serious reading it rarely gets and then the means to actually get made.
Quazi Rahman Rubel founded QR Entertainment on a single conviction: exceptional storytelling should not be limited by who a creator already knows. He funds the company himself, reads the work that comes in, and commits to a small slate each year so that every approved project gets genuine development, a professional production and an honest release plan.

We had one day of studio time and a very tight budget. They didn't make me feel small about either — the treatment was built around what we could actually afford, and the video still looks like it cost triple. The vertical cuts carried our whole release week.
I'd been pitching that script for three years. QR was the first company that gave me notes instead of a pass. Eight months later we were shooting in Nevada. I still don't fully believe it happened.
Working across time zones with a US partner usually means slow email chains and misaligned expectations. This was the opposite clear paperwork up front, and their Miami team handled things we'd normally lose weeks on.
